Elaine Garvey

Elaine Garvey is from Van Nuys, California. Elaine found dog agility in early 1990's, when she was looking for something fun to do with her Pugs, Oliver and Django. She came across agility and was instantly captivated.

In the following years, Elaine has shown and titled both Pugs, Oliver (Blaque's Earnest Oliver AX NAC NJC) and Django (Eden's Blaque Django AD NAJ AX EGC OAC GS-O PD1), and led the way for Pugs in Agility. Oliver was one of the early Pugs to achieve the American Kennel Club's Agility Excellent (AX) title and Elaine and Django are one of less than ten (2005) Pugs to have obtained the United States Dog Agility Association's Agility Dog (AD) title.

In 1997, Elaine acquired Jazz (ADCh She's A Red Hot Jazz Baby MX MXJ EAC EGC OJC-OP GS-E JS-O-OP RS-E) from former Contact Point Agility instructor, Mike Omartian. Since then, Elaine and Jazz have been jazzing their way to success in the agility ring! Elaine and Jazz are currently working towards their American Kennel Club's Masters Agility Champion (MACh) title and completed her United States Dog Agility Association's Agility Dog Champion (ADCh) title in 2005.

Elaine's newest edition is a petite little Pug girl named Diana. Diana was previously a conformation dog, but has now turned to agility! Diana began showing in agility in 2005.
