Sue Eastman

Sue Eastman first started agility training in late 2000. In the beginning she was looking for a fun outlet for her high-energy puppies. However, it did not take long for her competitive side to show itself. She has always been involved with team sports, such as softball and volleyball. Agility has now become the team sport for Sue and her dogs.

Angel
is an Australian Cattle Dog mix, aka All-American, that Sue adopted from the Camarillo Animal Shelter. Angel was adopted during the summer of 2000 at the age of five months. She started competing with the USDAA (United States Dog Agility Association) at eighteen months of age in January 2002. At her first trial, Angel qualified in her first standard run. As of March 2003 she has earned her AD (Agility Dog) and AAD (Advanced Agility Dog) titles, and had just begun Masters level competition. Angel also earned a qualifying run in the February 2003 Local Grand Prix Qualifier. Angel's first Masters weekend produced a qualifying run in Jumpers and a qualifying run in Snooker. She has also competed in two NADAC (North American Dog Agility Council) trials and has earned her NAC (Novice Agility Certificate), NGC (Novice Gamblers Certificate), and OJC (Open Jumpers Certificate).

Sue's second agility dog is Honey, who is another All-American. Honey was adopted from the Agoura Animal Shelter when she was eight weeks old. Honey will be starting her competitive agility career this year (2003). She has taught Sue about the importance of building foundations, focus, and patience.

In addition to training with Contact Point Agility, Sue has continued her education by attending Greg Derrett Seminars, Power Paws Winter Agility Camp 2002, and will attending Power Paws Agility Camp 2003.
