Karen Moureaux Director of training
Karen Moureaux is the owner and training director of Contact
Point Agility Center. When Karen opened Contact Point Agility in 1992,
it was the first dog agility training facility in Southern California.
Karen has been training dogs in agility since 1989 and has played a crucial
part in the development of Dog Agility in the United States. Karen served
on the first American Kennel Club agility advisory committee in July of
1995. As a part of that committee Karen was instrumental in the development
of the American Kennel Clubs agility program.
Karen is also an extremely accomplished agility competitor. She has enjoyed tremendous success with a variety of dogs and is one of only a handful of agility competitors in the United States to be selected four times for the United States Dog Agility World Team. She has competed in Spain, Austria, Belgium and Switzerland as well as being the leader of the Pedigree Agility Team at the World Dog Show in Mexico City in 2007. She is also one of the few competitors in North America to obtain the USDAA Agility Dog Champion (ADCH) title with three dogs. In addition to teaching and competing in agility Karen has bred Border Collies since 1999 and has bred many pups that are champions in Agility, Herding & Flyball as well as being great therapy dogs, Frisbee dogs and best friends.
